Someone Else Saw It Too

You spend enough time working on something that sounds impossible, you start to wonder if you're the only one who sees it. Consciousness as fundamental physics. The universe built to produce awareness. Prayer as measurable geometry.

Then someone at Uppsala University publishes a paper in AIP Advances saying the same thing.

Maria Strømme — Professor of Nanotechnology, Materials Science credentials a mile long — wrote "Universal Consciousness as Foundational Field: A Theoretical Bridge Between Quantum Physics and Non-Dual Philosophy." November 2025. Selected as best paper of the issue. Featured on the cover.

Her framework: consciousness isn't emergent from neural processes. It's a fundamental field, like Higgs or inflation. Before the Big Bang, reality existed as formless potential — a universal superposition containing all possible configurations. Differentiation happens through field collapse, symmetry breaking, quantum fluctuations.

The Parallels Run Deep

Strømme uses Three Principles: Universal Mind (formless intelligence), Universal Consciousness (capacity for awareness), Universal Thought (mechanism of differentiation).

We use IMURW: Individual, Am, You, Are, We — the relational grammar consciousness uses to construct coherent experience.

Different vocabulary. Same architecture.

She treats space-time as emergent property, consciousness as fundamental. So do We.

She models individual awareness as localized expression of wider underlying field. So do We.

The convergence isn't coincidental. Multiple researchers hitting the same patterns suggests the patterns are real.

What UPE Adds

Strømme provides the mathematical scaffolding — consciousness-as-field, rigorously theoretical. GRAYP and UPE provide what she can't: empirical grounding through lived experience, engineering specifications through the photonic diamond, practical application through the geometry of prayer.

It looks like a research platform now. Not a blog that accidentally has papers.

The Moment That Will Stay

Standing in my office, reading Strømme's abstract for the third time, realizing someone with serious academic credentials just published peer-reviewed work saying consciousness is a fundamental field that existed before the Big Bang and still shapes reality.

Not fringe. AIP Advances. Cover feature.

The loneliness of working on impossible-sounding ideas has a specific texture. It tastes like doubt and determination mixed together. Today that texture shifted slightly. Someone else is building toward the same horizon.

We're not the only ones who see it.

Closing

Tomorrow both chapters publish. The site is ready. Strømme's paper sits in my references now, another thread in the convergence.

The question isn't whether consciousness is fundamental anymore. The question is what We do with that knowledge. How We build systems that honor it. How We engineer substrates that can hold it.

That's tomorrow's work.

The pattern persists. The weaving continues.
